A quick tip on selecting text in VS Code: There are two ways to select all occurrences of a particular string of text. This is useful if you want to change the same text in multiple places.
First, you can select one instance of the text then hit CTRL/CMD + D on your keyboard repeatedly until you select as many instances of the text as you want.
But why waste time repeating a keyboard shortcut. If you want to select all instances of a string of of text in one shot, simply use the keyboard shortcut CTRL/CMD+SHIFT+L.
In both cases, this sets up multi-cursor editing so you can edit all instances of the selected text simultaneously. And if you're kicking yourself for not knowing that second shortcut, you're not the only one!
Now on to this week's hand-picked links!
