For almost two years now, VS Code has featured an improved search experience inside your command palette. It's not something you'd necessarily notice, but you may have picked up on some of the details.
Seeing as it's difficult to remember every command or shortcut by name, you can now do a search and get direct results followed by a section called "similar commands".
The search results will also include commands that are associated with any extensions you have installed. For example, typing something like "explain terminal" will bring up different results, including the primary ones from the GitHub Copilot assistant.
Apparently this search is continuing to improve, with the intention to eventually include keywords based on the description of the command but that don't necessarily appear in the command itself. This will also include words that are synonymous like show/reveal, copy/duplicate etc.
Now on to this week's hand-picked links!

VS Code Theme of the Week
|
Grunge — An older theme that was originally ported from a TextMate theme of the same name, attempting to mimic a 'grunge' look.

The color choices for the syntax highlighting are fairly nice – something different but with good contrast and not too crazy. The only flaw in the theme is the fact that even after installing this, my Nirvana cover band is still mediocre.
