In case you missed it, a couple of weeks ago the VS Code team hosted a live event called Agent Mode Day, which I mentioned in that week's issue. The full video of the live stream is available on YouTube and works as a nice lengthy introduction to a new set of features in VS Code's AI capabilities.
The full stream is about 5 and a half hours long, but you can jump to different parts by using the links in the description. One particular highlight might be the closing "vibe coding" session by Wes Bos where he builds an app that uses live hand tracking.
Of course, if 5+ hours is too much for you, below I've also linked a much more digestible video from the VS Code YouTube channel that introduces Agent Mode.
Now on to this week's hand-picked links!

VS Code Tools
|
Azure Databases — A VS Code extension that enables you to connect to MongoDB, Mongo Clusters, CosmosDB, and other databases in and outside of Azure, with ability to inspect and edit your data and run queries with a visual query editor.
GoCodeo — An AI coding agent for VS Code to help you write, test, and ship production-grade code at lightning speed, covering architecture to deployment.
Web Tools Weekly — My flagship newsletter, a weekly roundup of tools, scripts, plugins, and apps for front-end and full-stack web development. Sponsor
Flow Icons — A new file icon pack for VS Code where the icons have sort of a mesh gradient look. The page includes some demos for Next.js, Nuxt, Tauri, and Go projects, but there are others as well.
VS Code Theme of the Week
|
zzhtheme — A nice pastel-colored theme that includes both a dark and light version. The author put this out as a personal theme but it's fairly nice, so you might consider it for your own use.

The light version of the theme doesn't have much contrast, so I didn't care for it much, but the extension page does say the author is still working on it.
