Here's an interesting and fairly recent UI change in VS Code that you may not have noticed before: You can change the position of the command palette.
When you open the command palette, as shown above, you can move your cursor to the top and it will turn into a draggable hand icon. From there, you can move it (permanently) to whatever location you want.
As the GIF above demonstrates, I've moved it to the bottom-right area of my editor, so when I reopen it, it stays there.
But don't worry if you feel like that's too permanent. If you want it back in its default spot in the top-middle area, it will essentially snap back into that position if you just drag it there again:
I can't imagine too many people will want their command palette in a different location by default, but it's an option if you feel it will help you.
Now on to this week's hand-picked links!

VS Code Theme of the Week
|
1337 Theme — This is a bit of an older theme that was based on a Sublime Text theme that was apparently also used in TextMate.

It's a really nice bright theme that doesn't make any changes to the UI, only the syntax highlighting. So if you like good contrast but don't like any changes to the rest of the editor, this will work for you.
