The VS Code docs are constantly improving and in line with that, some time ago the VS Code team added different tutorials in the docs each with a focus on a particular JavaScript UI library.
So if you're looking for maybe a quick intro on a particular library but you want the tutorial to be focused on using the library in VS Code, you can check those out. This might be a nice "end of year" project for you to become more familiar with VS Code in relation to your library of choice.
Using React in Visual Studio Code is probably the most popular one. This tutorial uses create-react-app, the popular React scaffolding tool, and also goes through some debugging and linting tips.
There's also Using Vue in Visual Studio Code that makes use of the Vue CLI along with an extension that brings Vue-specific language features to VS Code.
And finally there's Using Angular in Visual Studio Code that incorporates the Angular CLI, an Angular-focused Profile template, and includes some debugging tips.
You'll need something more extensive if you're new to one of those libraries, but these would be decent resources for getting up to speed with React, Vue, or Angular within the context of VS Code.
Now on to this week's hand-picked links!

VS Code Theme of the Week
|
Niketa Theme Light — For those who prefer light themes for their editor, this is a set of 9 VS Code themes that all have the same background.
The package page has links to directly install any one of them as an individual theme if you prefer not to install the whole set. And it seems the author is a big classic rock music fan since the themes have names like "Sweet Leaf", "Dancing Days", "Communication Breakdown", and the one shown above, "Led Zeppelin". 🎸
